I have a 2000 ls and i cant find ne videos or any one who has a Bassani Exhaust on a 2000 ls Do they make Bassani for 2000 if not can ne one tell me a setup that sounds just like it
 
The only kit available for the ls is the magnaflow it. Most just buy the mufflers and have a muffler shop weld them in. I have bassani's on mine. 3 others have had bassani's and 2 of them were gen2s. FASTLLS is the third and he has a gen1, but only has a phone to record it so you can't really get an idea of it's true sound/volume.

So ur saying 2000 (or gen 1's) cant get busanni i want my v6 to sound like a v8 Whats my best option
 
I didn't say you cuoldn't get them, you can't get a exhaust kit for an ls because they dont make them. I meant to say that not many on here have bassani mufflers on, out of the few, only one is a gen1, actually 2 but this other one has a really bad quality video of it. They dont sell bassani kits, a kit being an exhaust that comes with mufflers, clamps, pipes with bends to match your car, that can't be directly installed and is made specifically to fit your car. Just buy bassani mufflers and take them to a shop to install. If you get them from autoanything, you have to call and order them so they can put the order in to bassani, you can't just order them online, atleast not from them. Oh and most dont go with bassani probably because one muffler cost as much as 2 of most others, like maganaflow, flowmaster, borla mufflers.

I have more than my phone, but the camcorder wasn't charged.. :shifty:

Yes I'm a lazy b@st@rd.. lol I'll be using the camcorder when I start it for the first time with the SC on.. ;)
 
So do the gen 1's come from the factory with an H pipe or X pipe? Could have sworn I seen a H pipe on one somewhere but ours has an X pipe

Buy a V8.

No, but seriously...the mufflers will fit all year LSes. They're all the same. There is no kit made by Bassani. It needs to be pieced together.

For the record, that's my old grey 03 LS in that video above. :D
 
You wont get the V8 rumble from a V6 but you will get some sound out of it.

i've had flo's, res deletes, and a summit X pipe for quite awhile now...

and it still doesn't sound like a real V8, now tommy's motor... that sounds like a V8!
 
It really has to do with the scavenging effect that the H-pipe and X-pipe have. Its not so much as the tone, but more the pulse "pattern" would be the best way I can think of putting it
 
Mine's got the stock H-pipe with no resonators and magnaflows. Rollincoal is right about the "pulse" pattern. I can hear my exhaust pulse when I stand behind my car, and I hate it. I just didn't have the money for an X-pipe when I put it on. This years goal is an X-pipe and aero resonators to tone down the "pick-up truck" tone it has.

Yup T-304. It's the BX line that's aluminized. I triple checked. I would've ordered them, but they don't take paypal or discover. Probably a good thing for now....
