What affect would having one tailpipe about three feet longer than the other have on performance if any???? Will there be any noticeable loss??

hey another side note you wanted 2 of the inside mirror covers right? pete packed everything for you that i left on the table and then remembered something about those, they didnt get packed, i'll pack them and ship seperately, i dont have any lt graphite cruise switches either i looked. sorry my short term memory is pretty much shot in my old age!

I don't think it would really matter at all.... 2 feet of 2"-2.5" tubing isn't a huge restriction...

Yes, I did need the inside mirror covers. That's cool on the cruise switches, I'll come up with them eventually.

I might end up dumping both out the passenger side to make it easier, but I'd really like to put one out each side.

The great thing is that I just hooked up a co-worker with a laptop for some stuff he does at home. He's a welder by trade and is pretty sure his bender can handle 2" material. Any recommendations on thickness of the wall of the exhaust. I don't know anything about it and I'll have to get the materials. He said we may just Tigweld all the bends instead of bending. I don't know the first thing about it. I'm open to suggestions guys!

My next question is what should I do for a muffler, or should I just delete it. I'm looking at putting in the double-x pipe where the 3rd cat is, do I need mufflers, will the car sound stupid without mufflers???

If there are space restrictions I would get a Magnaflow internal X muffler, or hell even two of them... it is going to be LOUD with only two cats and pipes out the sides.

All I have is 2 cats and a muffler just after the 2 cats no other mufflers run the pipes to the rear though. Not that loud. Sounds nice to me...

But at side it may be louder... Sound will not be piped to the rear.

When I had chopped off my two mufflers and at the time had no extentions to the rear the car was way too loud. Exhaust dumped at the rear tires. Too loud in the cab for me.

The side exit is an awsome idea i've been thinking of this myself. for the mufflers i was thinking either the magna x or just two small magna 4" round maybe along side the trans. To minimize the pipes craping the road I'm picturing using smaller diamater tube behind the h or x at the the turn to the side. cut it down the middle on a band saw weld in sheet metal so it gets wider as it move to the side of the car. I think this is similar to nascar as the tube gets larger it helps pull the gases out of the system. It's more work but if its doable thats what i'm going with. If nothing else it will save some lbs having a short system. It should also make it fun to swing the arms of the lift under the car. Good luck with it. Lets see some pics

I think it is a low grade 409 stainless... rusty SS....

Well stainless period is expensive right now, I might just go with regular tubing for now and upgrade later if I so choose. My coworker said he'd hook me up if I bought the tubing and did the mechanical work. Gonna drop the stock exhaust at the headers and use it as a template for the new.

Any suggestions on the magnaflow dual in\out with internal crossover. I found one earlier but can't remember the P\N:

But for now, it's time to go home and seafoam the neighborhood!!!!!! WOOHOO!

Just use aluminized mild steel tubing... if the car isn't a DD and it won't see winter that mild steel will last a long long time.....

I dont have stainless on barney and it seems all fine wit me. Now its in the garage half the time anyways. It ran me 250 out the door with 2.5 tubing and he did everything rite there.
