ok this may some dumb but my evap system got pretty mangled, i have the line that runs off the TB capped. If i can find the parts ill just replace the stuff but I was wondering if anyone had every actually deleted the evap?

the charcoal canister and stuff? runs off the TB into canister , then two lines that rune back to the fuel tank? my cars dropped and it just destroyed all that stuff. that little electronic part musta ripped off it went missing.

I know. Like I said, what evap system? :D I was trying to hint that mine is not hooked up. Still there though, just not attached to anything.

I know for the obd2 systems with the evap removed a cel will happen. for obd1 nothing will happen but you will fail emissions

Depends what you remove. If its not hooked up the car has no way of knowing as long as the electronic stuff remains. Emissions should not fail since the evap system does not do anything with the car running.

i have no cel... egr isnt tied into this system is it? im talking about intake gas recirculation that comes off the TB

TB black plastic hose to Charcoal canister,
Charcoal Canister has two lines coming off of it, one like half inch black plastic tube and one same plastic size as the one going to the canister from the TB.
- they go to the gas tank. its all the black plastic tubes in the passenger side fender. gone. i capped the end of the one that comes off the TB. so far no issues.

i thought the egr was on the exhaust manifold?

Ya, ignore the EGR thing. Nothing to do with this. :) What you did is what I did, I just did not know I had done it during the engine install. Basically I never hooked it up. Oops! :)

it can be stinky sometimes thats it. less weight! less headache. "There is no fast in economy only money." quote me on that one i like that. :-) must be the Yuenglings.

might fail emissions lmao, emissions, what the hell are those, oh yeah, no inspections at all here, run straight manifolds if you want with no hood or doors down here in the deep south lmao.

well is it worth replacing? i mean its not like its hard to fix at all... but if it really doesnt do much itll go to the end of the list of things to do.

I didnt know about that. on my other obd1 car I unplugged the hoses from the evap cannister and no cel.
