Mine only does Fahrenheit and I'm in Canada, bought it on LOD I think. The message center button does not set the ETAC. I don't know if it can be set any other way.

I LIED YOU ARE CORRECT THAT BOTTON OPPERATES BOTH!

Now will a 96 EATC work in a 95?

I put a 95 one, I believe, in my 93 and it only does Fahrenheit no matter where the rest of the displays are, they all do metric just fine.

Found out the problem, one of the connectors on the back of the EATC is messed up

There was a thread I can't find right now about which units would fit in 93-95 or 96 Marks. If I remember right there are two versions of the newer unit except one is the same on the back so it fits the early gen 1s and another that looks the same but won't work.

Yes, a 96 will work in a 95 and you can find the same unit is Conti's, some Crown Vic's etc.
I got the unit in my old '94 from a 96 Continental.

Are the 96-98 EATCs all the same part number? You say some have different connectors in the back? Mine looks good and works still but I've wanted to put an updated one in my car just for looks..I thought the display on the new ones is slightly off and in a different location than the old ones, how would the faces swap out?

I tried to swap faces on 94 with a 97 one but it failed so I just bought a new 96 one. The faces are atached to the unit via a ribon wire. Easy way is just go to a junk yard and find a 95-96 Mark or Conti.

95s are the hard button versions of the 93/94 eatc..96-98 are the newer style, looks more modern.

I've seen a few late year 95 marks with them but for the most part 96 and up have the updated style. Hard button did start in 95 though.

I've got a 96 updated style large button EATC unit that I'd be willing to sell if anyone wants it. Some of the clips that hold the face on are broken, but once it's installed it will hold tight to the center console and you'd never know it wasn't perfect. $60 shipped.

I also have a 95 hard button EATC if anyone wants that. It has something randomly splattered on the face of it, so not perfect, but it would do very well in a daily driver car. Would look ten times better than the cracked-up soft buttons on 93's and 94's... $40 shipped.
