i don't know if you know this or not, but the ls never came through with a manual tranny and a v8. all the v8's were auto, the only manual option was on the v6. so to do a v8 with a manual will all come down to how much you are prepared to spend.
 
A V8 has too much torque and will blow up the Getrag tranny. That's your first problem. You also would have the following:

- finding clutch a clutch pedal setup and installing
- finding a transmission that would fit and not blow up. This includes matching the tranny to the engine and fitting it all in the tunnel and figuring out the linkage.
- figuring out how the engine computer controls will work with the manual. It is programmed for the auto.

Who knows what else! Not worth it in my opinion.

wouldn't a clutch pedal set up from the v6 model fit? the tranny is the real problem, the tunnel can always be modded with a sledgehammer lol. can the computers in these be tuned to accept a manual or would you have to go full stand alone? i'm only asking because my neighbor has a ls v8 and asked me about putting a manual in...i told him its just not worth the money to figure it all out, that was like a year ago before i joined this forum. it seems like there's some interest in it, if i could get him to sponsor this, meaning i'll do the work for free as long as he pays for parts, i could put a "kit" together or at least post a how to guide like they have for the mark viii's. the reason why i wouldn't buy an ls is because i can't get a v8 with a manual. i know a custom bellhousing/adapter would have to made, along with a custom driveshaft, and figuring out how to get the shifter positioned right...just an idea i'm throwing out there. i doubt he'd go for it unless i loan him my car to drive around while his is down because it's his only vehicle.

The pedals and clutch master cylinder from a V6 stick LS might work, and the manual transmission from an '05+ Mustang GT should fit with little to no alteration, given that those Mustangs have the same transmission tunnel we do. You might be able to find a stock clutch and pressure plate to adapt, but you'll need a bunch of custom parts (bellhousing, flywheel, and driveshaft, among others), not to mention having to find an SCT programmer (person) who can go through the process of finding and eliminating all of the errors that will be thrown when the PCM doesn't get the necessary feedback from the transmission sensors.

It can be done, it's just a question of time, money, labor, and finding someone who can do the work you can't.
 
back in high school, i ask a guy about a motor swap the same way, ... Can i put a ... and still this day i remember his advise

I think you might have sorta missed the point. The PCM of an auto tranny'd LS will NEED to see the auto tranny or it's going to throw a fit.

To do an auto to manual swap of any sort is going to require the PCM from the manual tranny donor car, unless the manual transmission programming can be installed to the automatic's PCM. Not sure on the latter...

true statement. the manual should bolt up to the v8 because v6 auto and the v8 auto are the same. computer is main obstacle id say. tranny isnt very strong but my manual is still alive after years of serious nitrous abuse putting 300+to the wheels and close to that in torque.

put an ls1 or 3v mustang motor in instead and get the tranny and ecu, fuel pump for it. get some custom exhaust and a custom driveshaft. thats what id do if i had the money. then just make a new gauge cluster with autometers or get the gauges from one of those cars and swap it in
