Engine started "choking" getting on the highway

I've had 3 cops go bad, and only the 1 that washing my engine cuased threw a cel. The bad misfires I got this last winter gave me nothing. Ended up having my friend hook his machine up to it to see exactly which cylinders were the worst performing out of the bunch. Replaced em' and it's been fine since.

A little update.

I bought a used PCM off of eBay and installed it earlier today. Drove the car to hell and back, trying to agitate the problem. So far all has been good; no stalls or or sudden rich/lean conditions. It was getting to be a daily thing with the old PCM. The only other thing I changed was the Fuel Pump Driver Module from a 2004 Cobra but made no difference.

The new PCM is from a 98, probably a base model but I saw no change in how it shifts and power feels more or less about the same.

I'll give it another week before I hang up the coat on this one.

To be on the safe side, I want to buy all new Ford COP's down the road. Right now I have two Vato Zone COP's and the rest are probably the original ones.

Ok, I had same issue and I ended up changing the Mass Air Meter, Intake air temperature on the airtube, engine coolant temperature on the computer side, coils packs because I have a Gen 1. My car would just die and I couldn't figure out why and really had know idea that I would have to change some many parts but it worked out.
