Well, I am fixing to buy a motor to put in my 2000 ls8. Anyone know of any good substitute engine? Maybe some kind of strocker motor or something. What is the labor cost for the swap. I was thinking around $1,000. I would really like to buy a motor with a 3year, 36,000 warranty, but I do not want to pay the $5,000 cost for one. Anyone have any suggestions.
While the motor will be out, are there any performance mods I need to purchase at this time. I am thinking about putting lowering springs on if the springs already have to come out. Not sure what to do with the exhaust,
