I went WOT yesterday and the engine felt good until I hit a stop sign and it started shaking, misfiring. At speed I could not notice anything. Got back home, turned car back on and the idle sounded crazy like the car has aggressive cams. Then it wouldn't idle at all, unless you hold the RPM's up. I put it in drive and took it around the block and it seemed to drive and accelerate fine. Is this a chain tensior issue, is it stretched out or possibly skipped a tooth? I haven't checked the ignition yet but there is no CEL which is what is scaring me...

Pull the codes and report back, erase the codes drive and re-read also. You don't necessarily need a CEL to throw a code.

Check your coils. This sounds like what my red garnett mark did when one spot on a coil died. At wot it would come to life but at idle was a terd.

Coil is bad or a boot is bad. My car did the same thing when one of the boots went bad.

Didn't you just rebuild the motor too? I'm going through the same pain-staking process of fixing that exact issue.
