As of this moment, i have accidently locked my keys in the trunk. i have the trunk button locked. does anyone know how to fold down the rear seats? hopefully that doesnt need my key to unlock.

take out the bottom seat cusion, unbolt the bottom of the seat, try to pull the bottom uot enough to reach the keys

I just went and looked at mine, its a striker loop, so it should swing up enough to get and arm in there..

Okay, here's some HELP for you. Call the dealership. Give them the VIN, and proof of ownership, and they will cut you a key. It won't be programmed to turn the car on, but will open the trunk.

its saturday...1:40pm :(

crowbar then? And maybe a call to leave a message to see how much a new rear seat is.

No trunk button inside these cars? Did they downgrade as they made the LS or what? I can use my keypad to open the trunk, doors, lock doors and inside on the door panel there is a button to push and open the trunk. Has to be an easy way into the trunk of that car. So in total, I have 4 ways to open the trunk on my 94. Keypad, door panel button, remote and the key.

My trunk button is located right by the gas door release button, right on the lower dash. No keypad (though I may install one).

The stupid thing with the LS is the cables to release the seat back to lower it are located inside the trunk.

Okay, I assume that you don't know the code to the keypad on the driver's door. (If you do, then enter the code followed by "5" and your trunk will open.)

Under the dash, behind the trunk unlock button are two wires. Disconnect then from the button and use an unbent paperclip to short the two wires together. The trunk will open.

See there, now that's an answer. I knew there was an easy way but you have to know the code. It cost me $60 to remember mine and I'll never forget it. I'm going back to the Mark III side of town. Good luck with the trunk.

yeah, but for us first gen guys, we don't have a pad

but we dont have lockout feature either

I thought (on gen I) that there was a lock out switch in the glove box?
(Turn the switch off and lock the glove box. The valet key won't open the trunk or the glove box. At least that was the theory.)

Since the OP said that his trunk button was locked, I assumed that he had a gen II.

not on mine (2000)

I just went and looked, no switch.

I assumed he was 2nd gen from the headlights in his avatar

That lockout switch was not on my 2000. I have seen the valet button on the 2001-2002 though.

I'm assuming by what you are asking you are not locked out of the interior of the LS; fold down the center arm rest and work a long screw driver between the seat back to move the seat back release, it takes time but has been done before. Now after the fact, get another key and remote fob, very cheap in the long run.
