Eibach springs

I dont get why your caster is so far off??? you lower what like 1.75 at most...

Well you dont know what his specs were before the drop.

From what I have been gathering the Eibachs don't really do much to worry to much unless the specs are out before the install ( all that adds up in the end of course ). Now, most people as you see wait for the millage to run high so the warranty is up before the install. Giving where you live, what type of driving you do etc,... etc,.. it plays a factor. Those people that run high mileage and drive in a bit less tolerable conditions may need the alignment done after the install.

I could be 100% wrong.

Also the Eibachs are a 1" drop maybe 1.25 after they settle so I would assume but not guarantee that the specs were out just enough before hand to help play role.

Again I could be 100% wrong about that also.

Do you gain caster after you lower the car as well?

They say some cars have the adjustment some dont. guess what i dont and its $44 per wheel plus labor and new alignment.. Its visably off so i have to have it but i just dont get where this bolt is supposed to go and why it costs so much. My question is has anyone else had to get this for thier ls??

never had to get anything extra, but then again my camber is off, but also look at the BMW X5 trucks from the factory. Their camber is way negative right from BMW.

New alignment? Do you mean new alignment test? They never aligned anything. Obviously they couldnt.

True and the price today reflected that. Ive just never heard of a car having no adjustment..

Ray; do u run through tires quicker now that your camber is off??

Yes but how many cars do you hear of with lowering in mind straight from the factory;) .

Once again good point. Just wish i would have known this before hand to take into account as far as price... I really dont want to chew up my tires so i will get it done. Found the part at rock auto for $27 but not sure of quality of parts from there so ill prob just pay the $44. Will post pics tomorrow

I used to but now I run the rear tire pressure at 28PSI and I have no more wear issues. The lower PSI helps the tire lay more flat on the road.

Those are what I posted about through RockAuto. They go through the lower control arms.

I don' think this car has no ajustments for aligning.... i thinhk what he was saying was if you does any ajust it will be pointless, because it will still be off

Are you reffering to a ford dealership to have Eibachs installed. I'm considering putting Eibachs on mine, and I'm having a hard time finding someone to put them on.

yes i had ford do it. they were cheaper than the local spring shop by about 270.00

Ford dealership in Maryland did mine as well, and an alignment afterward. I wore out a full set of tires at about 28k miles. the alignment was fine, car tracked straight and true at all times but, noted the inside edges on ALL of them were worn to near the cords on a couple. I rotated every 5k and kept psi at about 33k all the time. comes with lowering I guess.

What you will want to do is, have the tires unmounted and remounted on the other side of car. Right side front to left side rear and vice versa, if using the same size tire on all four corners. I do this and seem to be getting pretty even wear. Except that I go front to front and rear to rear, I have staggered size tires. So what I am really doing is making the inside the outside on the opposite side.
