Ebay Cold Air Intake

please say nitrous, we aren't in fast and furious where jettas and civics run 11's with just "nawz"

not certain what the point is and I did not see the movie.. it is an acronym you know Nitrous Oxide System or I could have stated I seen an N2O kit. Either way you say it I think it is a waste of funds as it is not a permanent solution to a long term problem.

That's one of the original intakes from the LLSOC - like mine. There are less than 30 on them out there.

I gained 13 rwhp from mine.

The cold air box and air ram from the lower grill is similar to what I ran with initially - it worked.

yeah doesn’t that carburetor manufacturer own them or something? Don't they sell nitrous oxide systems? I really dont follow that stuff too closely.

My neighbor keeps htreatening to put it in his 98 Supra. He built the thing like he was going to race it but doesnt. What is up with that? Now he wants to make it faster by using chemicals and he doesnt race it or intend to race. He wont even take it to the track to run 1/4 mile.

so it comes with the heat shield/cold air box and lower components as well?

If that is so that is not a bad deal.

I believe the Nitrous system that was on e-bay for the V6 was from another LLSOCer who had it all custom made - $$$.

I ran a standard NX 20922 - wet system. I never added an inline fuel pump nor did a run colder plugs (couldn't find any to fit).

ahh high maintenance. Yeah his brother has one as well and come to think of it they all ways have the hood off of that one. Pretty to look at but I'd rather have two LS' than one supra.

I would get trigger happy. I had the same problem when I shot the 50cal machine gun in the Navy. Man I gave that butter fly trigger hell.

This car just needs a good base power plant then the gravy can be poured on.

it doesnt matter if it's an acronym for a company or not, it's a term that got ran into the ground by lets say, not the fastest crowd out there(but sure as hell cocky), and it just gets under my skin

I don’t take request for forms of public speaking unless asked to do so by the proprietors of the site.

Yep, I got one of dem dere CAIs too. :dancefool

The heat shield didn't come originally w/ the CAI, it's owner fabricated, but the ebay seller may include it for the $280.

well I was once the proud owner of a 1982 Honda civic 4 door. That little car took a lickin' and kept on tickin' but this was waaaaay before they had drugs for cars. I am just trying to explain by using customary terms it in no way promotes the usage. I am an opponent of the mod but I can see the attraction.

I see your point but it could be avoided in the future by saying n02 or nitrous. Big car buffs would bust you for that big time.

I don't really care about the whole brand, synonym deal because I'll take out any of those civics in my "old person car" as my friends say. That sure bursts their (civic drivers) bubble, and teaches them that they aren't the sh*t.

potato - potato it is all the same. 9 time out of 10 if I order a sode at a resturant i ask for coke. NOS is the brand on the block if you install nitrous 9 times out of 10 i bet it is called NOS. I am not trying to speak the kings english all the time just to please the court.
