Easy Exit question....

Hey everyone. So, I decided that I wanted my wheel full out, and full down to drive. Its just more comfortable for me. Anyway, I thought I should turn easy exit back on, so make things a little easier getting in and out. Problem is, my drivers side power seat is messed up. The motor turns, but instead of the seat moving, it just makes this clunking noise. Maybe a stripped gear? This isn't really a huge deal for me, as I just want the wheel to move up and in. So, to keep the drivers seat from moving, I pulled fuse #35 on the left side of the dash. It was labeled "Drivers side power and heated seat". I pulled this fuse, thinking it would keep the seat from moving around, but it still moved, in all 8 directions (except front and back, that's when it makes that clunk noise). So, my question to you is, what fuse do I have to pull, or what connections under the seat do I have to unplug to disable the forward and reverse directions on my drivers side seat?
 
i believe there is another seat fuse in the engine compartment. my passenger seat wont move at all, but if you hit the f/r motion or up/dn you can hear like a click havent investigated enough, but i looked in owners man and i checked a fuse in the engine bay. you have manual?
 
I'll check under hood tomorrow. I do have a set of service manuals, but never thought to look in there.
 
Just to get back to this. I reached under my seat last night, and pulled out a larger grey plug. I unplugged it, and it disabled my power seat, all directions, and functions. The heated seats still seam to work, and must be on another plug under the seat. I can now use my east exit option, with the wheel moving up and in, without having to listen to my seat attempt to move.
 
I've always heard that it's best to leave the easy exit off as it causes wear and problems with the steering column tilt and telescope. I'm not sure if that's true, but I don't use it.

It does sound like you have some gear problems with the seat track.

That seems to be common lately, if you ever replace it, take the old one apart and take some photos. I'm curious to see what's failing. It might be something that can be fixed cheaply.:)
 
Hmm, yea I haven't used it, but now that I got the column to adjust full out and full down, it helps for it to move up and in when getting in/out.
