Dying my tan carpet to black!!!

what are the carpets made of ? if you identify the fiber they are made of you can pick the proper dye to use ie polyester requires the use of a disperse dye that requires you to dip the entire item. I'd hold out for other options.

Thanks for the advice... However I went a completely different route. I used carpet spray paint & all I did was mist it over the carpet. The results couldn't have been better. I'm very, very happy.
