Ok I have a 95 Mark 8. Ok so i had my mechanic check my cel and since obd1 isnt as precise as obd2. He found 9 codes, but I asked him about code 214 CID. A lot of codes said bank 2 lean one said fuel so he thought code 214 meant that fuel pump may need changing. He is correct? Car has 115k on it and I believe its on original fuel pump

Changed 02 sensors lately? With the mileage you have, the pump could go bad but with bank 2 lean, I would say 02 sensor time. I could be wrong so wait for others to say what they think. If you're having symptoms, list them and that would help.

I am having symptoms I think every car out there with 115k on original power train has some symptoms lol. My main problem is it feels like I have a miss at wot I can press the gas pedal all the way down and nothing will happen. It happens worse when going up a hill mostly.

I would pull the MAF out and clean with MAF cleaner (leaves no residue) and change the air filter and the plugs for a cheap start and see what you have. Also I would change the fuel filter just in case it may be collapsed inside. Should be around under $40 for all of this if you DIY. Cleaning the MAF alone might do the trick and clear the code too.

Sorry I should of mentioned few months ago I changed air filter, fuel filter, plugs. wires. It helped a little is all. Whats a good maf cleaner? I was taught never to clean a maf but a lot of people do it

I use the CRC brand. It's in a grey colored can with a small black cap. I'm sure it's the same thing as the CRC electronics cleaner (in red cans) but it must not leave any residue. The MAF cleaner is just under $7.00 and it works well.

Since you have done all the other things already and if the MAF cleaning does nothing for it, it could possibly be the throttle position sensor has went bad.

1. Can you cold start without touching the gas pedal?
2. What is your cold start rpm idle?
3. After warmed up, what is your rpm idle?
4. Does it feel like it's missing only under a load?
5. Does the trans ever feel like it doesn't want to upshift from OD or 3rd to 2nd at low speeds 40 to 45 MPH?
