well number 7 is down for the count. is it Ok to drive till my new ones come in acouple days? it stumbles abit (doesnt die) but was just curious.

unplug the injector, and maybeo don't beat on it? could probably get away with if for a few days,

Mine did that. Just dont beat on it like mike said. After you get your new one maybe take out the spark plug and clean it.

I would fix it before driving it. Lack of a sufficent burn in the cylinder the unspent fuel is kicked into the converter and burnt there. That is the main killer of converters and last I checked their not cheap.

So then you have a dry cylinder cranking away?:shifty: I'm just sayin, It's you're car.

Why do you think your supposed to disable the ignition AND the fuel when you do a compression test?? Fuel will wash the oil off of the walls and cause scuffing.

well i had a semi rough idle for awhile but wasnt throwing any codes so i took it with a grain of salt..... checked for codes once and awhile just to make sure the ecu wasnt hiding anything. i put the stock program from my old sct2 and the check engine light went on.... reguardless i'll prob just wait acouple more days for my newish cops or go out and buy a new one. i hate seeing the car sit all winter and not being able to drive it.

No matter what it ain't healthy. So it will pick up a lean condition on that bank and increase the injector lapse and run the others harder causing a rich condition inadvertantly and unknowingly. Lack of a full burn will damage other stuff regardless no matter what. I would drive the car...................straight to the parts store and home.

...If you have something else to drive, drive that. If you don't just do like everyone is saying and unplug that injector. People come in the dealership that have been running with a dead cylinder here and there for months at a time. Your not going to do any damage as long as you dont hammer on it, which I wouldnt think you would do. Imo... it might just not be as fun to drive if its down on power, thats why I would drive something else, if you have a different DD.
