I know I know there is a search function but I was wondering what everyone's preference on drilled and slotted rotors are? And why?

This has been discussed to death all over the internet, but..

Unless my next car comes with drilled rotors from the factory, I am going to stick with blanks because:

- The slots on my rotors make a stupid noise under moderate/heavy braking. I made a video here.
- My slotted rotors also get scary when cold and wet, as water seems to not evacuate properly upon initial brake pedal application. Not sure if it's isolated to their design or not.
- Drilled holes on those el-cheapo rotors are prone to rusting and cracking.
- Drilled rotors provide no advantage on street use. They are simply for looks.

I have Powerstop drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads on my 2000 LS8. Installed them spring of 2006. Love them NEVER had a single issue with them. No cracking or rusting. Like them so much. I installed them on my 2008 Trailblazer SS.

Pictures of both installs.

That's weird, I've had them on my LS for about a year and they are all rusted???

Well you don't drive yours in the winter salt like I have to

I don't drive the LS in the winter. The TBSS is my DD. The research I found from the TBSS forum about the Powerstop rotors. Found painting the center of the rotors will stop any possible rusting.

Do anyone have any experience with brembo blanks? I can get vented blanks for 50 a piece.

So......

I thought I ordered slotted rotors all around but received slotted and drilled for the front and just slotted for the rear. My question is would this combination look too weird and should I exchange them, or just live with what I received?

edit
I guess this question is moot. I apparently ordered the wrong front rotors. Oh well......
