I am getting the excessive and insufficient air flow codes. I know it's usually related to the DPFE, but does the '03 even have this sensor? If so, where is it located?

I have to get the car inspected in Nov. and it will not pass with the Engine Light on.

it's on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay. You should be able ot follow the EGR exhaust tube back from the EGR valve to where the DPFE taps into it.

OK, so it looks like it is only going to be accessible from underneath the car.

When looking under the hood, I can only see about 1" of the EGR exhaust tube, then it dissappears under the intake and behind the valves.

Joe - you may be right -

Here is the Gen1 DPFM back on the firewall on the passenger side.

The next pic is all the manual has on Gen2 - so the fact that the EGR valve has a electrical connector suggests more going on the just a valve. The manual does not talk about a DPFM on Gen2 at all....

So it's all part of the EGR valve.

Well the reason I asked is because 3 different dealearships told me 3 different things,
one said it didn't have a DPFE at all,
another said it has one but he couldn't find the part #,
the third said, what Joe has mentioned, that it was part of the EGR assembly,
so it's all had me a little confused.

That's why I was wondering where it may be located, most threads on here are about the Gen1, being on the firewall. Didn't make since to me that it would be toward the bottom of the firewall on the Gen2, but I was gonna look for it this weekend anyway....lol

So then the Gen2 doesn't have any small hoses that need to be cleaned?
Could it be something as simple as one of the gaskets or should I just go ahead and replace the EGR?
