hi guys i just picked up my 93 mark 8 the other day and when your driving down the road the door locks are shorting out you can here them clicking and the radio is intermittent has anyone encountered these problems? Also is they're anyon who offers after market replacement head light lenses my headlights are all brown and rusty inside even on high beams they barely emit much light at night
 
Go with an after market HID kit for the headlights... Also you can polish the lenses and re-chrome the insides. There is a instructions on somewhere on here how to do it... I did it and loved it until I found some 96 HID lenses for my 93.
 
when your driving down the road you hear the door locks clicking in the door. is they're a module or somting for them.
 
Pull out a 100.00 and send your lights to Jamie he will make em new. I drove a freaked out electral mark of my bother in laws strange chit the radio died and the envometal controls went out, then all would come back on and be ok then go away again well it finally broke down on me by the radio dying then evrio contros, died, and the wipers squirted and the wipers went on one time. All was fixed with a new altenator and battery

Almost sounds like your alternator has died and now your battery is about to go dead. Before the battery dies, everything in the car will blink off and on for a minute or so and then you'll know when it's dead. The whole car will just quit. This is just an experience that I had and hope I never have it again.

me too!!!! go get alt tested at adv. auto asap - cause those are the warning signs, and your lucky to get them!! Once, mine just died...everything went off in a sequence...and I was driving it!!! lol sucked if it's not that, well, I guess you can guess...there is a short somewhere...lol I think I'd rather replace the alt then track down a short! lol

also YES TO JAMIES HEADLIGHTS!!!! AWESOME!!!!
 
thanks guys i tested the alternator and it fluctuates between 12 and 13 volts so i'm going to change it over the next few days a good working alternator should be charging between 13.5 to 14 volts right? i have the engine light go on and off i'm imaging thats probably due to low charging too right? car seems to run great all kinds of power and super smooth
 
oh i forgot to ask who is jamie how do i geta hold of him where is he out of? the problem i have sending my lights is this is the only car i own i can't run without them
 
Jamie is badlsc shoot send him a hundred and he probably has a set done he will send you and you can send your old to him. Jamie is one of the good guys in here lol he rants and raves a little but all and all he would do anything for almost anyone. He tears these cars apart and sells parts so if you ever need anything he is your man. He is in Tampa Florida
