My driver side door wont register that its shut and it leaves my lights on and says its open therefore killing my battery. What should I do?

Don't feel stupid, there are only 50 or so threads about this very problem.

that was the exact issue that brought me to the mark 8 boards back in 1999.
so yea.. its a common issue that has been addressed probably more than 50 times.

Exactely! If it weren't for those stupid questions - I would not have found my one and only love, 2nd to my Marks....LVC!!!!! So keep asking stupid questions!!!!

LVC does have a search, but I always find myself finding something else getting me off track, lol.

Maybe, the tech articles need to be re-looked and enhanced. I go there first before I try an aggrevating search, but there isn't much there.

spray liberally on the latch mechanisms in the door, open and shut (several times until the message goes away,AND don't forget to add this to your maintenance list.

Get a crowbar and a hammer and just start pounding the hell out of the passenger side rear quarter panel until it's mangled beyond recognition! Then after you do that,

1. go inside
2. hop on the forum
3. find the link that says "Search"
4. click it
5. type in something like "door ajar problem"
6. click search
7. browse until you find a post by someone with a similar issue
8. see what they did to fix it
9. try it yourself
10. if that doesn't work, repeat steps 1-9

blah search....blah blah.... (hehe)- I use it, but it sucks and is time consuming. If our tech articles were beefier and had a good search engine, then I'd be suggesting others to search...but when they don't, we get good conversation anyway.

Hey, anyone hear of Aerokroil (http://www.kanolabs.com/)? would it be a bad idea to use?

In your opinion would it be good or better to use then WD in the door?

Also would it be good to use to stop the lock and door from freezing up this winter?

Thanks hottie!!

Same here.. LOL...

Thats what I get for being lazy and not using the search. :)

Well Frogman would have loved your personal tonguelashing... although he would have said it a little better LOL...

But I did like the way you worded your post..

never use wd as for your door locks use the Microil from the same company good to -50 degrees F and your link didn't work for me so here you go
