I've got an Ivory passenger side, but not a driver's side. I do have a couple new-ish driver's side handles that have never been painted though...

Yes you can. I don't find it very hard to do, but I've also done it MANY times. Others have had trouble with it.

If you only want the handle, I've got one that's the handle by itself. Someone spraypainted it flat black just on the face of it. That won't be a problem though. Anywhere you take it to get painted is still gonna prep it the same way.

I tried removing the door handle myself. Could someone give me some pointers?

How do I unhook the door handle from that rod that actually opens the door. Also what happens to the lock cylinder??


I want to try finding the same color door handle so the paint matches try installing it to save a buck. I am not sure I can safely remove just the handle.
