Do your lights get dimmer when ABS activates?

It's not that noticeable. Honestly can't remember if it has done this the past few winters.
 
yes, barely...

as the ABS activates, it uses more power than it does while just waiting and monitoring, this causes there to be a little less power available for everything else..


while there is a very small difference with this car, when it happens in my cavalier, there is a huge difference and the headlights go about half as bright!
 
Good to hear. Knew it is a big draw, most newer cars I drive don't seem to do it. Guess they get more efficient as time goes on. Had an old Bonneville with ABS and that system seems prehistoric now.
 
ive seen it on most cars that ive driven (never as bad as the sh!tty chevy...) but usually a tiny bit.

ive also noticed with the LS how fast it operates, with a lot of cheaper or older cars, you can really feel the pulsing (slow frequency) but with a lot of newer or nicer cars, its operating multiple times faster.
