DIY Throttle Response Adjustment

A more informative title would be nice, please.

For the sake of future searches.

Yea I was about to say, the title is not going to help in a search.

But I bet our setup is very similar. We need a test person stat! lol

Yeah umm im not messin with the acceleration of my car.

I volunteer andrizzle as well :D

Sorry for the title, can an admin change it?

As soon as I saw it I thought it might be similar to the LS, at least close enough to check into.

i think toyota did this on their prius, thats why they was soo responsive that they accelarated themselves. lol.. i dont know man if you mess up you will either accelarate and cause a accident or have worse responsive throttle. the thing is that all the drive by wire system have this lag and im preety sure some engineer thought of a solution for this the question is how come they didnt not implement this. this seems such a basic and easy fix.

Not all have that lag. My 300 even stock, you'd never know it was throttle by wire. Whether or not that was a calibration for the SRT8s or not, I don't know, but it was night and day coming from an LS.

I took the pedal assy out today but didn't crack it open. The position sensor doesn't have a cover that bolts down, it's glued down/ melted plastic rivets that hold the cover on. You'll have to kill it to get the cover off. Same electrical plug as that mustang but the sensor cover is different. My car is an 04, maybe different on another year.

Anyone figure out how to take the delay out of the Gen 2 electronic throttle? This has been an annoying issue on my 04 3.9.

Thanks.
Tony

You can do the mustang pedal mod where you bend the fibers, or get it tuned to try and eliminate it as much as possible.

Someone should buy t-money's pedal and cut the cover off to see if it can be done.

I would have if I had seen this before Saturday when I made the drive for my trunk lid.

I was chatting with m4rk and said this exact thing. I wish I wouldve thought of it when I got my parts from him. Totally forgot about this potential mod.

If someone wants to ship it to my place, I'll do it :D
