Display center is dim...

Hey guys. Long time since I've been here. I've bought a 65 mustang as a project. Bought it near dallas and brought it back to houston. Spent most of the summer sand-blasting and priming it.

In any case I'm back to ask a question. My display center the other day just decided to become very dim. I was wondering if anyone had had this issue before or knew what the problem was.

Check your voltage. It might be the alternator giving you signs. Get a voltmeter right away. If that's not it then it might be the display itself. Don't recall anyone on here saying their display has burned out but there's always a 1st.

My daylight sensor doesn't work, so if I have to run the lights during the day, the panel dims as though it is night and I really can't see it. Could it be the sensor?

silly question. did you turn the brightness level down by mistake. this would dim all your dash lights tho. is it just the info display ?

I think you're right. If I turn the head-lights to on instead of automatic then the display brightens up. Must be the sensor. (it's under the (top) dash) right on the passenger side?
