Yes, but some people live in areas that eat cars alive in the winter months. Its not unreasonable to protect a car that you care about during harsh times.

I would reccomend staying away from CA. Warm? Yeah, its 103* right now, but the laws in this state are crazy. Especially those concerning cars and modifying them. Now AZ, that would be a nice place to live.

BTW, the car is looking great. I think I am gonna put my o-stars on my 97.

Mine does just fine sitting. It`s only been driven in the snow once in the last two years, returning from Florida. I don`t drive it in the rain either, not afraid of the water, I just don`t want to clean the floor mat.

and the only thing more important in life is family and my car is family

But my car is more to me than just another car. If you cant understand that then there is nothing I can say that will make you understand it. Some guys are car guys, some arent. You obviously arent.

I`ve been a car guy since I got my first one at 15, I`m 40 now. I`ve had 30+ cars and trucks. Guess what, They have all been replaced except the current 5. One Lincoln and 4 Chevy trucks.

If you were anywhere around Albuquerque I'd be all over it, but IL is a lil far away. I've already got 1472CI of BB Cad power sitting on my porch and 1002ci in the driveway (3828ci total on my property ) but could always use more. Next project is a 13:1 forged and sprayed 509 in my friends 98 Mustang.
