Hey guys, well about a month ago i sold my mark viii to a gentleman. A couple weeks ago he called me and said he was going threw hard times financialy and wanted to know if i wanted the car back..It was still in my name since he didnt change the title over.

I told him i really didnt need it right now and didnt have alot of cash.. So we talked and he asked if i would buy the car back for 1000 bucks. After talking with the wife we decided to go ahead and buy it back. So we drove up to abilene and got the car that weekend.

so lets fast forward to last night, Me and my 9 month old son was driving to town on a two lane country road and met a truck and about the time we started to pass each other he hit a damn deer and threw the deer into my lane. I hit the deer about 55mph. Both airbag's deployed and the hood was over the windshield. I got the car stopped and off the road and looked back and the SOB never stopped... Me and the boy are ok other than me being a lil sore.. Here are the pics on the Mark

Daaang. I feel your pain. I went thru the same thing in '09. I only had my Mark for a year at that time.

Deer did 7k in damage to my car. I fixed the body for right at 1k in parts.

My hit looks to have been a little worse than yours however. Your car looks very repairable. I hope you are able to fix it. Looks like it was a nice car.

See...this is why I only eat animals...ive never seen a head of lettuce run out into traffic

I just got mine fixed from smacking the little piggy...I even ended up with Gen1 LSC headlights. All for about $150 including paint

I can send you my airbags and clock spring from my 93, let me know quick, that thing has GOT to go to scrap soon

Lol. My hood and driver fender are :q:q:q:qed but can part out the other stuff.

is the windshield cracked? i cant tell.

I saw those for sale, I was tempted to bid on them just to have them for cheap..but I felt that someone else needed them more than me, I sent the links of both lights for sale to the guy with the China blue 93 mark, forget his name at the moment, but he started a thread about doing a HID conversion so I figured I'd help him out..wonder if be won the bids..

Gen1 comes with fiberglass hood Gen2 Aluminum

Wait ... What?
The idiot who owned my parts Mark before me had removed the piston thingy's (Don't know what it's named) on the hood so I always need a plank or something to hold it up and the good is freaking heavy. It's insane something can be that heavy!

One of my hood struts gave out completely so the hood wouldn't stay up.

So I found what TRW LCA's are realy good for :p

Hahha nice one! I'm just taking a big 2x4, remove the grounding positions from the hood to the fender and then I put the 2x4 by the hood lock and push it under the hood :)
