Dealer tried to rape me

Can i just walk into a ford dealer and add an esp to my vehicle??

What a FAIL website. It's spelled warranties. Major facepalm.

For $1600 I'd get one for my LS though.

lol I just noticed that:rolleyes: The best option is for Premium care. That covers the most stuff but it is not the longest. For the 06 they only put it out 2 years or 24,000 miles. But its a great option for coils and other random things breaking. Mine paid for itself off of the coils, window regulators, and my radio issues. Now I'm just getting free stuff essentially.

Still don't understand how the fronts are considered struts...:shifty:

 They're not struts. The person you spoke to probably has no clue as to the differences between a strut and SLA suspension. The LS (like the Mark VIII) has an SLA front suspension with coil-over shocks. There is no possible way to mistake a coil-over shock for a strut if you have even the slightest understanding of suspension system design. At least the LS guys know their cars have shocks in the front and not struts. Over in the Mark VIII section, all but a few of us call the front air shocks "struts" for some unknown reason that I can't understand to save my life.

+1

and since this thread continues to be bumped...I'd suggest you change the title....With todays dealer prices and labor..i didn't ready anything that was considered "raping"... High priced, yes. but welcome to Ford/Lincoln... Anything you can do yourself is always cheaper, doesn't mean the dealers prices are unfair.

I completely agree with you, any sensible person knows that the LS has shocks. But from the warranty department at FoMoCo the front end of the LS has "struts". That is the only way they would be covered under the ESP. I know the service adviser has no idea whats going on. She has been a Chevy gal her whole life and just now switched to fords. well that and shes a woman:rolleyes:

Sounds like everything really worked out very cool man.......so i guess like the thread title says "Dealer tried to rape me'' is a good thing? :D
