Well,
This week has started out great! Monday morning while driving on i95 south.. left lane. I was boxed in and a tractor trailer tire shred hit front of my '00 Lincoln LS sport - and tore right through the front. (I'll post pics soon)
Ripped through the bottom grill near the left fog lamp.. Dented in condensate, dented radiator / cracked. Ripped off plastic skid plate.
Tore up AC hoses, Radiator hose, Tranny hoses.... Will also need new front bumper cover, valance etc.. who knows. The total was $2,800 per the collision shop / mechanic.
Furthermore, While the tow truck driver was backing the car into the lot - he went straight in on an incline -- the car bottomed out and made the tail pipes scrape and drag. awesome!
As it states StateFarm is covering it with my comp. deductible.
Previously... 2 months ago. My transmission went out @ 106,666 miles.. NO ONE where I live would fix it. I didnt complete lose it - I lost fifth gear first. and then i couldn't shift into 4th.. not even with sport mode. So I bought a used transmission from car-parts.com from a salvaged Lincoln LS with 60k miles on it.
Total - $1200 -$600 for tranny w/ shipping - $600 for install & fluids
Right now I owe little over 5G on the car and I have at total of 117,100 miles to date..
Been thinking of just trading it in and calling it quits.. Opinions????
Btw.. Insurance JUST dropped too LOL.
