Daylight sensor blinking... a code?

Looked for this and could not find it. Maybe I don't have the correct name for the light sensor. It's in the middle of the dash.

I started the car this evening and it started blinking, one and then 6 blinks.

Has anyone got an idea of what this is supposed to be for?

You are talking about the black bubble that blinks red right? I know it's tied into the PATS system. Did you have any issues with the car when it was blinking?

Yep that's the object of my confusion.

I didn't see any issues and nothing floated across my DIC. All status checks were normal.

PATS 16: Faulty link between PATS module (cluster) and the PCM.
(If the fault occurs after startup and not before, then the engine will run correctly.) The first thing to check is the condition of your battery.

I let my ex drive my car while I was deployed for 2 weeks and she left the charger plugged into the portable nav. Battery was dead as a door nail when I got back. Funny, that was 2 months ago and I put a charge on the battery overnight. Seemed to come back up fine. Might be time to have it checked though.
