Hey all my door handle finally broke, been babying it for a year or so.

Anyone got a black 96 gen 1 passenger door handle?

uhhhh.. mine broke about a month ago too! so ghetto looking with a big whole in the door there. I opted to remove the assymbly and leave the rods so i could pull them to open the door rather than going through the passenger side..

Its difficult to find a torr red one but ebay has some black ones i know of.. all mark viii ones will work 93-98..

Jeff, another obvious choice is to IM Jamie who might have a black one requiring no painting.

i dont have any door handles, hell i dont have much of anything anymore. someone come down with a uhaul or semi trailer and take the rest too.

Mine is t.red aswell and i picked up a can of duplicolor at pepboys and its an exact match. Sand, 1 layer of primer, 2 layers of paint and 2 clears. Looks great. Have done it on my drivers side when i got it cuase the prev owner left it at primer. replaced and painted the pass side in the fall cause it broke.

It would be nice if someone can Fabricate a pair of used Mark VIII doors to have the door handles on the side Vertical next to the Quarter Panels...It would make the Mk8s look Sick and Awesome as FUCC!!!!

I do stock both the right and left. left is 40.73 and the right is 60.47 paint would cost an additional 30-50 depending on the color and the mood of the body shop manager when I ask.

$40 for a handle is too much?????????? you wouldnt want one from me then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i hate to say it jeff, maybe you are figuring it out already, but if you are broke, you bought the wrong car dude. a mark VIII will drive you to suicide if you cant afford to fix it!

when you get a new handle? Do you swap over the lock mechanism + keypad to the new handle? Or does the handle come as one piece and you get new key with it? My drivers sides a little funky.

Do you want one key to be competley different from all the rest on your car?

Keypad attaches with ONE nut. Simple.

Lock cylinder is held on by ONE clip that pulls out. Simple.

Re-use the old stuff.
