So, I ended up having a ticking problem again. Tried to fix, but no luck. Then, it got worse, there were 2 distinct ticks, one at start up, the lifters, and this other that was quiet at startup, then got louder when it warmed up. Could start to hear it going down the road driving. Sounded like it was coming more from the bottom end, so I got my stethoscope out, and tried to listen to the bottom end, determined it was coming from the back of the engine block. So, drained the oil, didn't look good at all. Took the oil pan off, damn I say! What a horrible sight to see! :( Turns out, the crank and bearings that came with it, from Oreillys took a :q:q:q:q on me. Now, I KNOW this was not my fault, as to I Installed everything correctly and made sure. Turned out, the connecting rod bearings, on cylinders 4 and 8, were getting chewed up pretty bad, and one spun. The crank looks good actually, has 2 scratches that your nail would hang on, but other then that, nothing. All the rest of the main bearings, connecting rod bearings look great. I believe it was almost about to eat another rod bearing, but glad I stopped it in time! Knew it was a good idea to not drive it anymore, because I was starting to get worried, the car showed no signs either, just some ticking, no loud knocking or anything and ran fine. Haven't even had the crank for 2 months, and I was going to return it, but on the website, it says no warranty after installation!! I am just not sure what to do anymore, putting so much money into the car time and time again, I just want to give up and say forget it! 400-500 dollars worth of gaskets, bolts and fluids, then no telling how much to get the crank machined, just makes me sick.

i feel ya bro:Bang

Will an 03/04 Mach 1, six bolt crank work? Found a good deal on one, with low miles. Wouldn't have to change anything would I?

Oh well, it sits, and will until my brother comes and takes it away. I have decided to go with a 86-93 5.0 when the chance arrives, knew the pro charger head unit pullies and bracket in the garage were good for something. ^_^
