I guess it all depends on where you live and what kind of policy you can get. I presently have 5 vehicles. I keep fire and theft on three and then basic coverage on one (daily driver) and full coverage on the other. The only reason I did this is to stop the hassle of calling up the insurance to let them know when I was going to drive different vehicles in order to activate the policy. I still have to do this on the other three cars but I usually only drive the main two. I don't see why the insurance company wouldn't allow you to pay full coverage on the most expensive car you have and be allowed to drive any of them. You can only drive one car at a time!
