Thought you might enjoy seeing some pics of a customers car. It is a 51 Ford Business Coupe with, you guessed it, a 96 Mark VIII Cammer. Pretty car and goes like hell. What do you think ? Thanx Bruce

Is it carbed?

It appears to be but then again, it kinda looks like the breather / filter is just braced up there for looks unless the stock TB is actually using that huge filter. If so, it has to be taking in quite a bit of heat with that setup but I don't see why it wouldn't run fine with it being set up that way. Nothing "cold air" about that setup at all. I like the car though.

the fuel rails , pressure reg. and injectors are all visible in the photos, looks like just a big air filter mounted on top and no remote air intake

51 Ford

You are correct. The filter is hooked to the t/b but everything under it is still oem. Thanx Bruce

In the same vein, one of the guys that goes on our annual Hot Rods & Handlebars cruise brings this out every year.

Love that!!! There's not many things I like more than seeing a classic or antique Ford hot rod done CORRECTLY with a FORD engine!!! It makes me sick to see a friggin' chebby small block diagracing the engine bay of a Ford. Seeing a 4.6L Mark VIII V-8 in a Ford hot rod just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy:D

I have a 40 ford drop top that I kinda want to do this to, but I also kinda wanna keep the flathead. I also may sell it. The original owner's son offered me stupid money for it last week.
