Custom Steering Wheel Installed!!!!

I was going to try and keep this a secret until Carlisle, but what the heck. Here she is.

Its a 98 CE steering wheel, recovered in black leather, and modified to fit a Gen 1.

I have been very busy this winter upgrading the car. As you can see in the pics, i just installed an Avic D3. I should be able to finish everything else up in the next month or so. Ill post pics of all the upgrades then.

The car is a little dirty, but It doesnt come completely out of storage until the first car show May 3rd.

BTW if anyone is interested I have a list of every show\cruize I will be attending in central IL this summer. It would be nice not to be the only Mark VIII at a show\cruize for one.

wow dude congrats it looks awesome, after your search and me trying to help also on finding a doner wheel, i'm glad you got it! looks sweet man.

We ended up having to cut out the whole center portion of the CE wheel and the Gen 1 wheel and weld the gen 1 portion into the CE wheel in order to get the correct fitting on the steering shaft. ALOT of work, but I'm happy with the results.

Don't forget who did it first.
