CTS-V Video

now's the time to buy one - when the first came out there were north of $60,000 - now low $50,000s.

I still don't like the looks all that much of the 2003-2008 CTS (I assume the Gen 2 CTS) I much prefer the Gen 3 of 2009....but I'd still rather hold onto my Lincoln LS.

There have been two generations of CTS. 03-07 and now the 08-present... of which the 09 CTS-V is part. And OMG I love the way that car looks! The new V really stands out from the CTS from every angle. Like Quik said, now is the time to buy (if one has $50 large to drop on a new car).

i actually like them they look pretty good + but some work into them and they will look even better

From what I've heard there actually was an Original CTS that was a piece of :q:q:q:q. Way back in the 20th century :P

I remember Top Gear talking about it when they introduced the CTS on their show..they talked about how the old CTS was a turtle that was "rubbish" I think it was when Hammond test drove the 3.6L around the bend in Holland....anyone feel like youtube searching? be my guest but it just proves that 2009 is the 3rd generation CTS

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_CTS. Dude I think you're tripping, I remember when the CTS came out, as it mentions on wiki it was used for the matrix reloaded chase scene.

I love Top Gear but do not listen to them when it comes to a car like the CTS-V and such because a car designed for the US than going over seas never gets a good review just because they have, better standards imo. If we had half the vehicles Ford and GM had over there I do not see them having troubles they are cause quality is x10 over there or atleast as big of a problem anyway.

Yep. Check out that scene. My favorite part is at about 1:52 in the video...

TG did review the 1st gen CTS-v, I remember watching it about 8 months ago, they loved the power but hated the car for its lack of class/cheapness

Boy that Clarkson just couldn't rip on the Caddy enough, huh.

Even though his race buddy in the Audi couldn't catch him.

I leased an 06' CTS-V for two years. I went through three rear ends, a drive axle, a transmission (bell housing cracked I guess?) , and like 7 sets of tires. the interior got old quick with all black. The Navigation screen sucked. The paint on the buttons always rubbed off. The rear end wined all the time except after the last rear end replacement.

I also spun out on the interstate and hit two trees doing 75 in rain. (I should have been going slower). The airbags did not deploy. Everything was thrown out of the car. But I have to say, it did a great job keeping my girlfriend and I safe. We walked away with bruises only. The whole right rear of the car had to be replaced as well as the lower front end. 27 G's in repairs to the insurance company. <--Idiots

The best part about this car was beating SRT8's and GTO's but I wish I would had went with the c55.

The 09's look SICK though

Top Gear rated the new CTS-V very well.

"designed by someone who had only a ruler" still holds true - but the performance was up to expectations.

The rearend issues were very common for the Gen1, and many electrical issues as well.

Yeah I don't like the "ruler" look.....I like clean cut just like the LS...a few straight edges but not a TON of them. Too bad Lincoln didn't try and compete against the CTS-V...cmon..through a Shelby Lincoln out there :P
Or a Rousch Lincoln.......I might have to consider going Euro with my next car if Lincoln doesn't catch up.....though I might just get a good Roadster or SUV as my next vehicle..instead of having a fleet of sedans :P

THATS WHAT IM SAYIN MAN, Lincoln has gone soft, the only car I wanna trade my lincoln ls for right now would be a 2010 Lincoln LS with a supercharged v8 (if only lincoln had it in them to make one) doesnt neccesarily need to be an LS just something LINCOLN like so i can roll up next to my friend in his CTS and tell him to pick on someone his own size, what a dream, to bad lincoln is focussing on old people.

MKS eco boost model 330 hp i think??....turbo charged MKS.

Yes but 330 HP is nothing compared to what Cadillac, the Euros and what the Ricers are now packing....we need lincolns with 380+ HP or better yet...400+ HP....

...we just need a good Lincoln like the MKZ (I still call the Zephyrs) and put a Shelby engine in it.....crank that bitch up with AWD and 500+ HP..... :-D
