Hello all happy thanksgiving! I am old school about crusing around lol, I would like to wire my front lights so that when you turn the light switch on the first click or P light That just my Parking lights on the side and the tails come on, and to get headlights on I have to click it one more.

Any one ever tried this before?

That is how it came from factory. Unless I am missing something?

Might be something wrong with your switch.

First turn, turns out corner lights and rear lights, second turns on headlights.

Auto lamp is just that. They whole thing comes on when it gets dark enough.

The switch will first turn on parking, then the next click will turn on headlights.

If there are day-time running lights, then those alone are on all the time.

If it does not work as above then either the switch is bad (most likely) or someone messed with the wiring. Things changed a bit in 97, but on a 96 the above is how it works.

i tried telling jeff this before, his car is rigged, its a real 96 lsc with hid housings, but someone hacked halogen bulbs in the lowbeams, and when you turn his parking lights on, the headlights come on too, someone made an abortion out of his headlights. they did something screwy with the wiring.

Dang cause my auto lights are off I dont like that option I dont use it. Must be like Jamie said I have screwie wiring.

that can't be safe. should probably look into fixing that.

well i wouldnt touch your cars wiring unless you know what your doing, and unless you can't see someone has mangles the wires by your headlight, then we have a problem
