Could this be too good to be true?

Well, I went one step furhter and they want you to become a member and it will cost you $19.95. Now I can say it's "too good to be true".

A member? To buy wheels from a shop?

Thats crazy. IMO its still worth it I guess, unless they are knock offs of some kind. I dont know. I saw some good wheels pretty cheap.

There you go Pete,... Im sorry-Pektel:shifty: :D

Yeah, looking further I saw that they sell discountinued wheels and possibly slighty damaged (scuff, chip) wheels. They have a couple warehouses supposedly work with a ton of distributors.
This may be a good resource for someone who doesn't care about a couple scuffs. I know that within a year or so most rims can get scuffed anyway. To save 500-1000 I don't think I would might too terribly much. My only concern would be bent rims...

How is that worth it? Thats nickle and diming at its finest!!

.

That 20$ pays for its self in the savings on some of those wheels alone!

But your right. Why pay 20$ to get a 1000$ set of wheels for half the price.

Those of us that cant get everything for free from our local dealership like to save money.

Just so you guys know there are supposedly no USA Fondmetal dealers. I've looked high and low on the internet. However you can get a set of 19's from the UK with "tyres" for around $2000. That doesn't include shipping though.

EDIT I checked Fedex.com. Shipping for 4 packages @ 35lbs each (rough guess) it's $645 for shipping. Just in case anyone was curious, and I was bored at work.

These wheels are heavy as a mofo. Which is too bad. But the wheel/tire combo weighs in at about 65 pounds.

JWerner, I was thinking it woud be cool to get one replacement for the wheel I have that has a slight bend. Just in case I wanted to run them at the road course. But that site looks shady at best.

What are you implying here?

Hmm, if you can find others that would be cool.

After getting my wheels from Nates I found one or two people complaining but the complaints sounded outlandish. One moron thought he could get the set of wheel he ordered on another car. Supposedly just after purchasing he totaled his car and when he got the wheels he sat on them and then attempted to put them on a car with a totaly different bolt pattern. From what I gathered Nates told him it would only fit if the BP's where the same but the buyer blatantly turned things around and complained when the store told him they can not refund him cause he sat on the wheels for so long.

Low and behold Nates was probably the best place I have ever ordered anything from online ever. Shipping arrived well within estimated time, and customer service over the phone was great.

Im just saying, sometimes people like to stretch things out of spite.

Right, but you don't have to give a stranger your credit card info before speaking to Nate. That site wants your credit card info before they will even give you a phone number. That seems really fishy to me.

That's also really backwards compared to any legitimate wholesaler. Most of them will show products available, but leave the PRICES confidential (not their contact info) until you contact them to fill out a credit app and discuss becoming a dealer.

Good point! I didnt catch that.:shifty:

Now Im wondering if that 20$ is just a ploy to get your numbers.

More of the same:

An online retailer that charges for membership before disclosing even a phone number or permitting the customer to ask questions is highly suspect!

Damn, I should have looked into it more.

That sucks. I wish I could justify making a living off of ripping people off online. Ass holes!

Oh wait,... no I dont. I would be just as good as Marvin Bones:D
