replaced tstat housing
replaced all clamps
drained ,bleed

still over heating at the moment, i have seen a great improvement then when i started this a week ago, it takes about an extra 15 minutes now before overheating, the engine seems not as hot as before when i had actually fluid leaking, now it might be small enough just for air to escape, i dont think its coming from the hoses because ive replaced all the clamps,

so is someone going to tell me its either the bolts i need to tighten some more, these are the ones that go into the block, (plastic to metal) or could it still be air in the system, i try so hard to get the bleeding process done correctly, so im doubting its that, theres no more hissing sound though, so i believe the clamps solved that one, ok any feed back appreciated

i dont think its a gasket i checked them and they are in new condition

the labels are normal - the one marked hard is an 'overflow' from the cooling tower to the degas bottle.

the hissing sound form the cooling tower is normal`ish - since that is where the top of the coolant meets air pocket is. now if it's boiling, then you'll hear it there.

have you swapped degas bottle lids? if the lid cannot hold pressure, or if the degas bottle has any cracks in it - the system will not completely pressurize and therefore the coolant will boil sooner than designed.

ill go try that now, i do have 2 covers, i dont think that it could be the bolts from the engine into the plastic pieces, because i made sure there as tight as i can turn them before stripping/cracking, my last guess would be the gaskets but they looked fine, but this seems to be a very minor escape of whatever , because it overheats slow, and when i turn the car off for a few minutes and turn it on , the temp is back at almost half way but it still does over heat when i rev it, ill go check now thanks quik

Just replaced the degas bottle, mine had a crack in it and now is not overheating, knock on wood. Check the bottle. I wish you luck!

If it is a loss of coolant problem, check the fan shroud mounting bolts. Some ace "technician" paid no attention to bolt lengths when the shroud was removed from the radiator for warranty service on my LS. There are several bolts with the same diameter and pitch but different lengths associated with shroud removal. So, pay attention. One bolt, about twice as long as the 3/4-inch correct one, probably from the radiator mounting brackets, was used to mount the shroud.....punched a hole in the radiator case as it was drawn up during shroud reinstallation. Guy "doped it" with epoxy. Got it out of his shop but left me with a serious problem.
