Coolant puddle

You're probably right. But the fact of the matter is I don't want to pay my mech to do a job I can handle. The degas is one of those jobs, but the radiator isn't. :(

why not ?

when I was working on the DCCV and Aux pump, I had the top mounts for the radiator loose,
it's only the lines at the bottom that holds it in place after that.

I was able to lift it up/over pretty near an inch or so.

Didn't look like getting the rad out would be a problem.

The workshop manual makes it seem much more intense. joe, when the guide says to "remove bolts and position aside" does it mean the A/C condenser and combo cooler need to be removed entirely, or just un-bolted, to make the radiator come out? And does the radiator need to drop out, or need to be lifted out?

Just move them a little bit. No need to disconnect the lines from either. There are easier radiators to change, but this one shouldn't be too bad. I'm not sure if it can come out from above, I haven't looked that closely at it. The service manual gives the quickest way to do it with dealer equipment. That doesn't mean there aren't other ways to do it if you don't have a lift.
