I have a coolant leak from the thermostat housing.....no wait. That would be too easy. I have a leak in the coolant outlet pipe. What is that you ask? This is what I have a leak in:

I can't seem to find a source for this. Does anyone know where I can find this?

Please help....
Thanks

Tony

Getting mine repaired at Max's dealership now.....should get it back on Friday.

Arrow points to broken edge on one part (plastic). 2nd photo is of the still good part replaced some 7 months ago (also plastic)

I'm very interested in this.. Do you have the old parts laying around? I'm starting to remake cooling parts for the Gen 1 V8s that are metal instead of plastic.. If I can make some of the stuff off the adapters that I have already made, I would be happy to do so.. But I need some broken pieces like the ones that you have

Been there, done that on my 2004 too.
I strongly advise you to replace all the other plastic cooling system parts in the front, as well as the degas bottle while you are at it. The rest of it will crack soon if you don't.

year and engine?

ask max at 5 star ford. ---------------------------->

Gen 2 and Gen 1 cooling parts are totally different. Same with a v6 and v8, The first thing to remember with these plastic cooling parts is to not over tighten anything. These crack very easy.

That would be a cake walk for a shop to make looking at the 1st pic voyeur posted. I would also venture to say it would be fairly affordable, after the initial set up fees, even as a low number production run.

That's why, if I can use the same flanges, I could do it because I have the design fees taken care of.. I just don't know how much room is under that intake.. Mine, I'm using off the shelf thermostats and housings.. If that has to be made also, that will drive the price way up.. Considering it will have to be machined out of one piece of Aluminum..

Time to pick on you again.

I think you meant to type "hence."

:blah: :blah:

Auto-correct.. :D :joke: Thank you for my correction.. ;)

Just got a call from the dealership and now an 'EGR' hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake cracked and that will have to be ordered.

I do not have the old parts (replaced 7 months ago), but I can ask if I can get the one part that you see with the cracked lip (and connects to the top of the motor/intake area).

I see a large demand for Gen2 cooling pieces as these cars are now likely reaching that critical age/wear issue on these parts. :)

There is no EGR hose that goes to either valve cover. Did they perhaps mean a PCV hose?
