Anyone ever convert to a non-return type fuel system in the Mark? Just wondering.

I have heard of no one doing it. To me it does'nt make alot of sense.

The return system is ALOT more reliable, and easier to get more volume to the motor.

Did any 99+ DOHC 4V 4.6L use a return style system?

99+ cars were all returnless, some trucks/SUV's were return. after 2000 they were all returnless.

Its WAAAAY easier (and cheaper) to convert to a return system from a returnless than trying to build or make a returnless work in a return car. if that makes sense.

Ya. I am hunting for rails that will not require me to mod the intake to clear the Mark rails. I posted in a Mustang forum for some help after searching did not reveal what I wanted.

Not sure, but so far the only catch may be the fact that I have a vacuum regulator. That *might* be the issue I see so far.

I do not really understand why you want to go from return to returnless but if you end up doing so then I suggest switching to a Ford truck/SUV style of returnless which is not electronic. The Mustang's have a FRPT (fuel rail pressure transducer) that feeds the PCM data on the pressure drop across the injectors. The PCM then inputs a given voltage to the PWM fuel pump based on its fuel pump voltage table to get to target rail pressure. With the early 2000's trucks and SUV's they had returnless but it was mechanical. All pressure regulation was taken care of in the fuel tank itself before sending the fuel forward. This will end up being a much cheaper and easier option for you do to.

In fact, not meaning to make some sort of sales pitch, but I have damn near all of my stocker fuel system from my 03 Explorer. I swapped to a custom A-1000 based return fuel system for the Kenne Bell setup on it a while ago so my entire stock fuel system had to be eliminated.

I've decided to stick with a return system. Mark VIII Gen II rails may work with little modification I have been told. Otherwise there are a couple low cost options I have lined up.

Its more of a case of what will mont to a Mach 1 intake without modifying the intake itself as I have done with the 01 Cobra intake.

Smart choice. There are plenty of aftermarket fuel rail choices to choose from that will fit the Mach intake mani. Are you just looking for pure fitment itself or are you considering the budget in doing this too? What are your future power goals with your car?

I want something that fits right witout leaning too much to after market. I am keeping things stock. If the day comes that I want more I have no problem spending the money then. For now I just want a quick and simple solution.

Mad1stGen on LOD posted this. I like the idea a lot. I can use the Mach rails that fit and with this adapter use the stock or compatible FPR while installing a return line. I am waiting for him to get back to me on where he picked it up. Says its KB but I have searched all over and can not find it. Something like this seems cost effective and I wont have to modify any rails. I will need to make a return line, but thats not a huge deal.
