I have a miss on my o1 V8, so i ran the codes and they came back 304 and 354, I know 304 coil is bad on 4, but what the hell is 354 the dealer wont tell of course unless they run there on check. So now I'm hoping one of you know what it is and how to fix. Thanks in advance Jeff

so what is that and where is it located, dealer fix only or can I do this repair. thanks for the codes info.

MONITOR STRATEGY DESCRIPTION: Ignition Coil 4 Control Circuit

MALFUNCTION CRITERIA: This DTC detects when the circuit is shorted to ground Circuit check.

TIME LENGTH AND FREQUENCY : 5 failures for 10 cylinder events

So it sounds like your coil on #4 is the culprit of both errors.

so i changed the #4 coil and the stuter and 50 miles an hour is no longer there but the other surge is there, and the code still kicks back P0354.

not sure - were you getting oil in there? (usual cause of the misfires).

when you swapped the coil - did you put on new valve cover gaskets? Sometimes a small leaks causes the coil to go bad - then it becomes a big leak if you reuse the old gaskets when you swap the coil)

the other issue could be a short in the wiring running to the coil - that would be very unusual. It's saying 'This DTC detects when the circuit is shorted to ground'.
