Code Help

I have a 2003 LS, and it's been giving me some trouble lately.....I know, join the club right?

Anyway, my check engine light light came on again last night and today I took it to a mechanic and he gave me the following code:

U2009- Audio Front Control Module (ACM) is not responding.........He wasn't sure what it was...He usually works on foreign cars, but was doing me a favor. Anybody know what the code means, and more importantly, how much is it gonna cost me THIS time??

nope - never heard of that before - although it's a valid ODB network code, it does not come up in the Ford/Lincoln code list.

Did he use a proper CAN protocol reader? the Gen2 LSes are all CAN and use cannot use a simple ODBII reader.
