recently insatalled a set of the cobra r front brakes on my '95 mark. brakes are bled and pedal feels fine. they work great under normal driving conditions but don't do much when i step on the pedal hard, like i said pedal feels fine doesn't go to the floor or feel soft. weak master or something with the abs? any suggestions or thoughts greatly appreciated, thanks.

i had that problem after i swapped to cobra rears and gt front with a hub swap.one day i was so pissed at the soft pedal that i pumped it up a bit then jammed on the brakes with my 225lbs and holy crap it stopped.nothin i ever owned stoped like that and hat was with gt fronts and bigger cobra rears.after that my power booster started to leak to where it is gone now and i just need to replace it
i will post on this again soon if the change of booster works on the soft pedal.unless your problems gets fixed from there. goodluck

trust me i slammed on them, nothing still when i step on it hard. weird cause otherwise they stop fine. i can't even do a brake stand anymore, it just slowly pushes the car along. let me know what happens when you change the booster. thanks.

well i changed the booster and it fixed my hard brakes but my brakes are still a little soggy.my brakes know though are very touchy and awesome but at a complete stop the pedal goes down.maybe the fluid needs changing. im lost

Change your fluid and do a full bleed. See how they are then...

Cfischr: Sounds like you either have a small vacuum leak, a bad check valve, or the booster itself is faulty. Doesnt sound like an ABS related fault to me.

fluid was changed and bled when the brakes were done, i'm thinking booster or something like you said. i live in wisconsin and don't drive it in the winter so i guess i got a lot of time to figure it out. thanks everyone.
