clock spring help?

Anyone know how to re-clock a clock spring? im going to pull one tommarow or sat morning from a junk yard, and any tips would help....

Not understanding the question. Are you wanting to install a time piece in it?
 
Turn it all the way clockwise, and then counter-clockwise about 2 3/4 turns.

something is missing off the back of that clock spring above, the back cover is completely gone, you shouldnt be able to see any electronic board at all. i dont know if i would trust that clock spring. i got one for my old 97 lsc from ford brand new in the box for $78 bucks.

So you're still able to buy these from Ford? What's the part number? Thanks for the tip!
