I think this is even a better design that the 4r7woxp whatever! If it came to market I bet it would have saved them! Watch the vid, AMAZING tech going on here! The diagnostics are REALLy easy too, just a couple solutions to almost any problem!

 That made no sense what so ever! Wonder how many words he made up there? :p

Hahhahahah thats funny, I used to watch those guys in my Chrysler training class.... Even when they are making a joke they act completely serious.... lol thanks I needed that.

I love the RX-7. Had many of them and never poped an apex seal. Unlike most tards that mod them I knew they cant take a single ping from detonation so before I upped the boost or put on a single turbo kit I would install a JS Safegaurd to controll the ECU if it even hints at detonating.
Great little cars and a perfect balence cause its technically a mid engine car.

The RX-7 is incredibly reliable...
the problem is that morons would buy them and then modify them in stupid, irresponsible ways.

You can mod the hell out of the engine, but you haven't to do everything in balance.

I think he said that if it generates 1.21 jigawatts, you'll go back to the future or something.

I will buy an FD as soon as I can afford one... right now I'm in the FC income bracket :D

I tell ya, the FD is sexy but the FC is a little better chasis wise and much more comfertable. My 90 GXL had everything done to it and there was nothing that could hold with it in the corners. With real equipment it could see 1.22g's continuous and spike 2 with ease. My 93 was much much faster and had the same suspensionmods but couldnt corner like the 2nd gen could.

Get a 89-91 Turbo II or a 89-91 GXL or GTU and order a Cosmo tri rotor twin turbo from Japan. Engine would be $2600 but will have 300 hp out of the box and with a better exhaust and upping the boost 4 psi (safe limit before a JS is needed) and it would have over 440 hp in a 2750 lb car. :D
Just do a fuel upgrade and single turbo to run 600 hp then you have a 10 second car (they are not the best drag cars) that could corner better then a new ZR1. I really want to build another one but they are getting so hard to find. Fortunatly alot was aluminum so they dont rust. Down side is the moon roof and hatch do rust and I dont think you canget the rear window from any where. :(

Really? Bummer. I guess it has been about 8 years since I had a rotary, I miss them little engines. I had a sweet 87 TII that I sold this kidd. Next year I am at the SCCA track and there he is with a bad ass coil over setup, big turbo (forget what size), FMIC and the full Apexi exhaust ( I had a sweet Mazdatrix system on it) and he is drifting the track. Spun it on every corner too and by the end of the day it was on one rotor cause he was bouncing it off the limiter (now set at 10 grand) all day.

Dumb ass.

Oddly enough my 90 GXL 2+2 was my favorite and I had always wanted to slap a tri rotor in it but my friend crashed it in a field going over 140.

Would love to see some shots of the 87. I prefer the tail lights, dash and bumper of the 89-91s but still love the body lines of the 87-88s .:D
