chrome molding on gen1

alright guys with the gen1 ls's I want to take that crap off and paint it

when i was looking under the car at the rear bumper I was able to see 4 clips 2 on both sides now how many more clips are on there?

You should just buy yourself the Sports model bumpers. They come stock with no Chrome moldings and Painted to match..

I know it might be an expensive mod but Looks better than you having Holes in the bumper from the clips and whatnot. You might beable to get the chrome pieces color matched to the bumper also?

You can take the chrome strip off, sand, prep, paint, and clear. That how my chrome strip on the rear was painted. Make sure you use adhesion promoter. I can't remember how many clips there were though.

ya I want to paint it and dont have a place indoors to paint it except a lil shed or I would just mask the car off and paint it that way so I guess i'll just have my brother inlaw help me with taking the bumpers off I guess
