i have done a bunch of searching about this and i seem to find that it is probably a wheel sensor gone bad or that is dirty. I am wondering is this someting i can check and fix on my own or do i need to take it in to the shop. I have a 2000 ls with 110,000 on it so i am past my warranty. I am really getting tired of spending money on it and i try to keep up on everything. If i can do it myself i will. Also is it goig to hurt if my wife drives the caqr with these lights on until the weekend wwhen hope fully i can get it fixed. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

Well, the two indicator lights indicate that those systems are malfunctioning. And you're probably right that its a wheel sensor. I hire other people to work on my car, but from what I've heard swapping a wheel sensor is so easy, even I could do it.
As for letting wifey drive the car, I think you'll be OK. The lights indicate that the traction control and the ABS are nonfunctional, but the car will drive nonetheless and probably without any safety issues. Tell her to take it easy, though, until you fix the problem.

There are two different types - bolt on and clip on - one quick look and you'll be able to tell.
They take 10mins to replace yourself - one bolt, one connector,... takes more time to get the car jacked up and wheel off.
each wheel is about $55.
I don't know of a simple way to tell which one is bad - other than having Ford pull the diag with their tool (an ODBII tool will not read this).
Since my speedo was jumping around a little - I figured it was one of the back ones, so I swapped both backs and solved the problem.
