Yes it can. But I would HIGHLY reccommend against it!!!!

I have about 10 hours in total in fab and removal and installation. I got it to work, and think it looks pretty good. Im happ for now.

If anyone can help me out with how to wire the o\d button to the tc switch I would much appreciate it.

PEACE!!!!

Well the simplest way to do it would be with some diodes to isolate and use the same switch. I'd have to know whether the OD button had a constant ground or 12 volt and the same for the traction control button.

Find me some wiring diagrams and I'll figure out how to do it!

I wired my O/D into the T/C switch about a year ago. With mine, I have it so O/D and T/C come on and off together. Can't remember what wires I spliced, but I simply wired the 2 O/D switch wires into 2 wires in the T/C switch which make a circuit when the T/C switch is pressed. (found with a continuity tester)

Another option I guess, would be to simply keep the existing O/D button and relocate it.

What year Taurus did you get the shifter from? Did you swap just the woodgrain part or the whole assembly?

Steering wheel is from a Collectors Edition, that has been modified to fit my gen 1.

The Shifter handle is from a 03+ Ford taurus limited, and is a direct swap in a gen 2. All you have to do is wire an o\d button. However, it is NOT a direct swap in a Gen 1. I swapped just then handle not the assembly.

did u get the wheel redone in black?

looks nice

im digging that shifter knob...might have to grab me one for mine :D

No OD button on the Taurus?

I like the look of that. Nice job and thanks for posting.
