Hey guys, hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me.

I had a rattle noise coming from under the hood when I would get on the throttle while in drive (never tried it in neutral).

Anyways, I pulled timing in 1 degree increments until it was maxxed out at -8 degrees. Still rattled. So I returned the vehicle to stock, and the rattle went away.

I've tried for a week and a half now to get a hold of my tuner, but he has not responded to my emails yet. I have another guy who would like the "catch code" from the ecm. My problem is I have no idea where that is. The strategy code is not what he needs, he says he needs the catch code.

Can anyone help?

I believe they are asking for the PCM code level - mine is TPH0 - it is sometimes on the PCM case, but Torrie was able to look it up for me using my VIN.

the tuners need this so that they use the correct PCM code version when building upon it for your new tune.

Thanks for the info. Where's the pcm case on the LS?

Thanks! That's easy enough. I've had that apart a BUNCH of times.

so found the pcm case. no markings on it whatsoever. i even pulled the wheel and well liner to see if for some odd reason it was on the exterior. no dice. wtf lincoln...

Yeah - then you have to find someone that can pull it using your VIN.

I wonder if its a dealer thing. or sct tuner as you stated previously. but i doubt torrie would pull that info for me if i was't buying tunes from him.

in my search, i did find a label stuck on the botom of the rem. no idea why it would be there, but nonetheless, maybe it.s the code. i'll post a picture in the am.

I believe they can look up the PCM using the VIN and then any OASIS updates to the PCM code.

Yeah, so I call the dealer with my VIN. They tell me my pcm code is 9WHABAHA

I think that's the code for them laughing at me?

Here is the label I found under the rem:
