Cat converters

I am pretty sure I need knew ones, getting crap gas mileage and muffler man said I need new ones.. Where is the best place to get a new set? can be either universal or oem long as the universals dont set off the CEL.. Max? or what way should I head?

I think Highflow cat would be the best choice or OEM but a lot expensive or look that the junk yard

I will be order me some new cat before the end or this week. I'm going to get Eastern high flow cat from autopartswarehouse. I believe they are about 230 for each side

I would say yes but then they have to be welded on. I rather just buy a whole new one

I have an 01 tho.. maybe ill give these a try. I could do like $100 a side but 200+ a side is pretty expensive.. oh well this whole car is expensive but plenty worth it.

That's what I bought but it seems like I paid less than that. I haven't had them put on yet though.

anyone used the magnaflows on here? does it make it louder cuz im hopin it does. i dont expect too much on a performance gain if any, just see if itll get louder without jsut replacing straight pipe

i literally put that i want to get loud without just puttin in straight pipe....aka not cuttin off the cats....

what good high flow is there for a 2.5 inch piping? would i need the in n outs to be 2.25 or 2.5?

I have 2 borla muffler 2.25 inch, I think to put high flow cat, X pipe, no resonator and the whole line in 2.25 because mine are 2.0 inch

Magnaflow made alot of high flow cat but not bolt on but you can fit them on you exhaust

I bought the magnaflow 2.5" cats thinking that my cat back was 2.5" as advertised on Magnaflows site. However, it's actually 2.25" in diameter so I haven't installed my cats yet because I haven't decided on whether or not I want to sell my entire cat back and go 2.5" all the way back or just keep the current set up. I also was kind of waiting to see if anyone decided to get the LT headers and what kind of gains they gave.

It weird because my LS have stock exhaust line and it is 2.0 inch not 2.25 this is why I want to upgrade my LS is a 12/99 build date
